Swedish marketing technology startup Epiminds has reportedly secured $6.6 million in seed funding to expand its AI-powered marketing operating system, according to recent reports. Founders with Major Tech Pedigree

Epiminds was founded in 2025 by Elias Malm, formerly of Google, and Mo Elkhidir, previously with Spotify, analysts suggest. The startup positions itself as an “operating system for marketing” that serves as an independent third-party player capable of optimizing outcomes for both companies and agencies, according to the founders’ statements to Business Insider.

Lucy: The AI Marketing Colleague

The core of Epiminds’ technology is an AI-powered bot called “Lucy” that deploys over 20 autonomous agents to handle various marketing tasks, the report states. These agents can analyze ad performance data, plan marketing campaigns, and publish paid ads across platforms including Google Ads and Meta Ads.

Augmentation Rather Than Replacement

The founders emphasize that their technology is designed to augment rather than replace human marketers, with Lucy positioned as a “senior colleague” rather than a replacement. “We think that agentic AI can make agencies work with more clients, more companies, and make it easily accessible,” Malm told Business Insider. “We want to empower people to be able to do more and maybe spend time on the things that they should spend time on, like close with clients, strategy, creativity.”

Current Deployment and Technical Infrastructure

Epiminds is reportedly working with approximately 20 performance marketing agencies across the Nordic region, the Netherlands, and the United States. The startup utilizes several off-the-shelf LLM models from Google’s Gemini to OpenAI while maintaining a proprietary framework for processing large datasets and multi-agentic tools specifically adapted for marketing applications., according to technology insights

The only significant capability currently missing from the system, according to the founders, is creative image generation, though they indicate this feature will be added shortly.

Business Model and Growth Plans
